Canadian country icon Shania Twain is back with an emotional music video for her song “Soldier”.

The music video transitions between scenes of Twain performing on her “NOW” tour and touching videos of soldiers returning home to their loved ones.

“My song ‘Soldier’ is about the heartbreak of having to say goodbye to a loved one. I wanted to make this video to honour the men and women who serve their country everyday. Hope you like it,” she said of the music video on Twitter.

Back in October 2017, the 52-year-old announced that the song from her latest album “NOW” would be featured in the movie “Thank You for Your Service”, which tells the story of a group of American soldiers who return from Iraq, struggling to return to their normal lives following the war.

"I'm so proud that my song ‘Soldier’ from my upcoming album NOW is part of the film Thank You For Your Service. Watch the music featurette below and exclusively in Cinemark theatres."

Twain is currently touring across North America, making her final Canadian stop in Toronto, set to perform on July 6 and 7.
