With A Song In Her Heart Shania Twain Reveals Some Big News For Fans

Shania is writing songs for her first album since 2002's Up!. "I'll get back to songwriting and start
thinking about what the next step is going to be. Time off from the show gives me space to do that."

Her sell-out Las Vegas show doesn't return until fall, but Shania Twain has no plans to go easy on their summer vacation. The singer has revealed she plans to devote the holidays to penning a new album, her first in 11 years.

"I'm going to spend much of the summer working out what to put on my next album. A break from the stage gets me back to writing the songs." Shania, 47, announced to fans on Facebook, posting a picture of herself strumming her guitar under a tree.

"I love writing, I've always loved writing. I never moved away from that. I've got stuff to get back in the studio with," she added.

It seems only natural that Shania is finally returning to the studio. A mother of one, her happy marriage to Frederic Thiebaud surely provides her with plenty of inspiration. And after eight years out of the spotlight, she has recovered her love for performing and her career is back in full bloom. Shania's show, Still The One, is among the top attractions at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

"I'm appreciating what's going on more than I probably ever have," she says, "I'm taking it in more than I ever did."

And it impresses us - very much!
