In news we can’t quite believe but we are absolutely thrilled about, actual legend Shania Twain is joining ITV’s Starstruck.
That couldn’t impress us much more, actually.
The five time Grammy winner responsible for timeless bops Man I Feel Like A Woman and You’re Still The One has been added to the panel alongside Adam Lambert, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford.
Starstruck is the Stars in their Eyes of 2020s, with singers competing to be the best version of a popular artist.
‘Shania is one of the all time music greats, not to mention a fabulous personality, so it’s an honour to welcome her to the Starstruck panel alongside Adam, Beverley, Jason and of course Olly at the helm.’ Said Katie Rawcliffe, head of ITV Entertainment commissioning.
‘We are over the moon to welcome music legend Shania Twain to our fantastic Starstruck panel,’ said Cat Lawson, creative director.
'She is an absolute trailblazer who has collaborated with everyone from Elton John to Harry Styles.
‘Shania will bring so much fun to our Saturday nights we simply cannot wait.’
The country queen will be replacing Sheridan Smith who quit Starstruck after one series.
An ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘We would have loved Sheridan to have returned to the show but she has sadly had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with a new acting project.
‘The team absolutely loved working with her, she was a fantastic judge and provided some invaluable feedback to the contestants. We wish her all the best.’
Starstruck returns to ITV in 2023.
